VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR SOUTHERN AFRICA

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR SOUTHERN AFRICA

Whilst WILDFRONTIER AFRICA TRAVEL does not arrange visas, the following information has been provided to assist you in finding out the visa requirements for the passport that you are holding. While every effort is made to keep this information updated, it is subject to change and it is advised that you check what the latest requirements are before you travel.

What is a visa?
A visa ensures that you are properly screened before entering the country, and gives immigration officials the information they need to ensure you are admitted to the visiting country for the correct purpose and length of time.
A visa doesn't guarantee you entry to the country – it only allows you to proceed to a port of entry, where an immigration officer will check that you satisfy the basic requirements for entry into the country.
What are the requirements for entering Southern Africa?

Ø  A valid acceptable passport or travel document good for a sufficient period to cover your intended stay.
Ø  A valid visa, if required.
Ø  Sufficient funds.
Ø  A return or onward ticket.
Ø  At least two blank pages in your passport.
Ø  Yellow fever certificates are required if the journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belt of Africa.

Get your visa before leaving for Southern Africa
If you are subject to visa requirements, you should apply for your visa at least four weeks before your departure for Southern Africa, and await the outcome of your application before departing. Visas are not always issued at Southern Africa ports of entry, and airline officials are obliged to insist on visas before allowing passengers to board. If you arrive without a visa, immigration officials are obliged by law to refuse you entry to Southern Africa and to place you on a return flight to your country.
